This image clearly shows sadness. You can see the way the little boy looks at the camera. The emotions in his eyes are very raw and strong. I think the fact that he a black boy makes people who watch TV automatically feel sad; we have a connection between black kids and the poverty in Africa. This connection is from the TV adverts we see asking to donate £2.00 . I think he way this photo is captured expresses raw emotions and cleverly allows us to connect.
This is a photo that I took.I drew inspiration from his photograph. I liked the angle it was shot from and how clearly you can see the emotions. I did not want to copy it however. I shot my photograph from a birds eye view. I think that the fact yo can see her crying automatically touches someones heart strings. I edited the eye into colour so that you are draw in more. IT enables you to study the eyes and try and read any emotions.
I think that both photographs represent sadness very well. I like the angles they are both taken from and I adore the emotions you can read on both faces. Both images have black and white concepts. However the first image is a lot darker, but that may be down to skin tone.
